Custom Domains
Connect your own domain (yourbrand.com) to a published Airbuild project.
Default URL
Every published Airbuild project lives at yoursubdomain.airbuild.space with automatic HTTPS and a global CDN. The certificate is issued and renewed by AWS Certificate Manager.
Adding a custom domain
In the project's Publish settings, add your custom domain (e.g. app.yourbrand.com). Airbuild walks you through the DNS setup:
1. Create a CNAME record in your DNS provider pointing your subdomain to the Airbuild CloudFront target (shown in the dialog)
2. Wait for DNS propagation (usually a few minutes, can take up to a few hours)
3. Airbuild automatically provisions an SSL certificate via ACM
4. The domain becomes active when both DNS and certificate are ready
Apex domains (yourbrand.com without `www`)
Because CNAME on the apex isn't supported by all providers, point an A record to the Airbuild target IPs (or use ALIAS / ANAME if your DNS provider supports it). The dialog shows you the exact records.
Multiple domains per project
Each deployment target serves exactly one custom domain (plus the apex redirect, if you set one up). To run the same project on a second address — for example a marketing version on `yourbrand.com` and a staging version on `staging.yourbrand.com` built from a different branch — add a second deployment target on the project's Deployments page. Each target has its own branch, subdomain, custom domain and environment variable values.
More than one deployment target per project requires the Platform Builder plan. On all other plans a project has exactly one deployment target, and therefore one custom domain. (The plan limits below count custom domains across your whole account, not per project.)
Removing a domain
Deleting the domain in the Publish settings removes the routing but leaves your DNS record alone — clean it up in your DNS provider afterwards. The default *.airbuild.space URL keeps working.
Plan limits
Custom domains are available from Website Builder One (one domain); Website Builder Pro and above include unlimited custom domains. Free uses the default *.airbuild.space URL.
