You describe what you need in plain language — or bring what already exists: notes, a spreadsheet, a requirements document, an old codebase. Where the requirement is ambiguous, the agent asks back instead of guessing.
Before a line is written: the data model with its entities and relationships, the pages, the API surface. You see the plan and correct it while changing it is still cheap.
React frontend, Python backend and PostgreSQL are built together — foreign keys with explicit delete behaviour, unique and check constraints, Decimal money, UTC timestamps, soft deletes and versioned migrations, generated as the default. Build errors are fixed automatically.
Tests are generated with the code and run on every change. For applications an end-to-end walkthrough clicks through the real interface; the suite can be switched on per project as an additional gate before a publish.
Every publish runs against a frozen snapshot of exactly the code that goes live: static security analysis, dependency and secret scanning, code quality. High-severity findings block the release — the gate is not a recommendation.
One click to your subdomain or your own domain. Websites go out over the CDN; applications get their own backend and their own PostgreSQL with their own database role. SSL and hosting included.
Logs, health and usage in one place. Hosting grows from a serverless tier to a dedicated container without touching the codebase — no re-platforming when the prototype becomes the system the company depends on.
The next change takes the same path — plan, generate, test, gate. Every change is a real Git commit you can review, and the source code stays yours: exportable and self-hostable at any point.

Is Airbuild an AI website builder or a full app platform?
Airbuild is both an AI website builder and a full app platform. You describe a site or a full-stack application, and Airbuild builds, tests and publishes it. Web App projects additionally get a managed PostgreSQL database, a FastAPI backend and authentication. Hosting, versioning and a live preview come with every project, whichever type it is.
What is included in the Airbuild platform?
The Airbuild platform includes everything between idea and running product: a chat agent, a live preview, versioning and one-click publishing. Web App projects add a managed PostgreSQL database, a FastAPI backend and APIs with authentication and roles. None of it has to be integrated or wired up by you — it arrives already connected on every project.
Can I connect my own data to an Airbuild project?
Yes, you can connect your own data to an Airbuild project. The generated backends talk to your existing systems over their REST and legacy SOAP interfaces, and the agent writes that integration into the backend code. You can also bring your own PostgreSQL connection instead of the managed database, leaving the data where it lives today.
Do I own the code, and can I self-host it?
Yes, you own the code and can self-host it. Airbuild generates real React and Python code, and from Website Builder Pro you connect your own GitHub repository, where AI changes are pushed in the background — a runnable copy therefore lives outside Airbuild. Or keep it with us: shared Cloud hosting, or dedicated Private hosting in its own container with fixed CPU and RAM, both on EU infrastructure.
Is the Airbuild platform GDPR-compliant?
Yes, the Airbuild platform is GDPR-compliant: built in Vienna, hosted in the EU on AWS Frankfurt, with a public Art. 28 data processing agreement and a published sub-processor list. Audit logs, secret scanning and SSO come with enterprise use. On ISO 27001 we are not yet certified — the ISMS documentation exists in draft. We hold no SOC 2.
